Since the company's founding in the mid-1970's, the Richland Group of Companies has controlled over 100,000 acres of land. The company has invested in numerous projects for top national retailers, office and industrial developers, and home builders.
Richland's origins date back to the early 1970's in Toronto, Canada, where founder, Jack Bray, began his career as a real estate broker and investment advisor. He later founded and operated his first construction and land-management company in Calgary, Canada, and in 1979 made his inaugural entry into the U.S. market with residential investments in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin, Texas. In the mid-1980’s, Richland expanded its real estate investments to Orlando and Tampa, Florida, and expanded further into California in the 1990’s.
