Richland's origin dates back to 1970 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where Jack Bray launched his career as a real estate broker and investment advisor. Mr. Bray soon expanded his involvement in real estate to Calgary, Alberta, Canada where he founded a development and construction company.
Active in land acquisition, project planning, permitting, management and the construction of office and warehouse distribution facilities, the Canadian-based companies grew rapidly.
In 1979, with an eye to the many opportunities waiting beyond its southern border, Jack Bray made his inaugural entry in to the United States with Richland Properties, settling in Texas, Florida, and more predominantly, California.
